The rundown

So, my lovelies, since i have little to do at work today i'm going to attempt to outline, in a very vague way, what it is we're trying to do here, to give better context to ideas, suggestions, and supplications to cease before the fourth seal is broken. I am still at work, however, so this will likely be a work in progress, updated throughout the day until it's thorough, so check back often. Sluts.

Format:
The thing i have most hammered out is the format. I don't have access to my notes on it, but i can outline it here and throw the notes up when i get home. Each show will be approximately 30 minutes in length, varying largely based on how many interesting things we have to talk about, and how much i feel like editing before passing out. There will be 1-3 5 minute segments each show, again depending on available content. Those of you who are more reliable, or simply have more consistent free time, will likely have a regular spot assigned to one of the casts: mon, wed, fri. I will be very, very unhappy if one of those segments can't go up as planned. If you want one, i need the commitment. Otherwise, we can all be perfectly happy with a 'whenever' segment- as in, whenever i get one, i'll find somewhere to squeeze it in. You'll have less of a fanbase, but you'll also have more free time. Life is a tradeoff. The rest of the show will be dialogue- We will be largely recording in one large, painful two or three hour block on saturdays or sundays, when chris is more available, and the show will be parsed down from those into three episodes, with more current audio being recorded if neccessary during the week. It is my intention to work the tech so that anyone that wants to be on, even if they can't be -there-, will have that opportunity, and i know it's possible but i still need to look into costs and implementation. Mostly, it involves skype.

Thus begins my attempts to catalogue the progress of my upcoming podcast (along with chris, ian, and likely many of you), The Dan and Steve Show Show- Actually a show!
It is my hope that with all of your creativity, madness, and tendency to speak despite conventional wisdom suggesting you should shut the fuck up, i'll be able to create something entertaining, hilarious and really goddamn offensive. So i can earn the money to enslave the jews and the gays. Twice. Tomorrow, when it's less two in the morning, i'll post the show notes i have so far, and the segments we're working on refining. Nothing's locked into the show yet, so there's lots to be done. And two months to do it in. W00t. For some of you, you may never have seen me work on a creative project i was really interested in before. If not, you'll get to see where all my motivation is- it actually hides out in the basement until i do something like this, and then i run myself into the goddamn ground. But i'm brilliant, you're all brilliant, and i expect great things from this.

And i know where you all sleep.
